New Forum stresses the importance of building a ‘community’ where human interaction is paramount. By combining high density development, community building programs and innovative architecture, New Forum shapes a set of buildings into a community that turns strangers into neighbors.

New Forum, Inc. is Charlotte's leading provider of sustainable master-planned developments focusing on urban mixed-use and Retirement communities. New Forum’s development portfolio includes more than 20 projects, each exhibiting a wise use of resources, high-density place making, local activities, everyday amenities, and a personal relationship with tenants and community stakeholders.

The 455-unit Village at Carolina Place is New Forum’s largest retirement living project and has been rated Mecklenburg County’s #1 retirement community by the Charlotte Business Journal. Started in 1989, the Village is home to the Cottages single family detached home community, the Dorchester Apartments and the Manor Luxury apartments.

In addition to the Village at Carolina Place, New Forum has developed and manages The Carillon, a 150-unit apartment retirement community in Greensboro, NC.

New Forum’s mixed-use projects include Technology Park at Ayrsley, a 4-building technology-based office complex, and the 200-acre New Urban Town of Ayrsley, arguably the most sustainable community in Mecklenburg County outside of Downtown Charlotte.

In Ayrsley, New Forum and project co-developer, Henson-Tomlin Interests, have created a walkable community where the need for an automobile is minimized. Home, office and daily necessities are all within a 5-minute walk. Rated “very walkable” by Walkscore.com, Ayrsley also features a 120-room Hilton Garden Inn and the Ayrsley Grand Cinemas 14. Ayrsley is 60% complete and when finished, will be home to over 2,000,000 SF of office space, 500,000 SF of retail and restaurants and 2,000 residential units.

New Forum’s most recent project is Parkway Crossing, a 43-acre mixed-use development in Pineville, North Carolina. Parkway Crossing’s plans include single and multi-family homes, a medical office building, additional office space for sale or rent and restaurant and retail space. Parkway Crossing will also contain more than 8 acres of open space, parks and public plazas.

To date, New Forum has developed more than $200 Million worth of office, retail, residential and special use projects.
