Front Desk Representative

The Front Desk Representative is the front-facing person, and gatekeeper, for our community. They are the friendly face people see when they enter the door. This role is the most frequent point of contact between residents/families and our community and is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, answering questions and/or complaints from family members. The Resident Services Representative always strives to achieve excellent satisfaction ratings from the residents and their families by providing a high level of customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Greets visitors, residents, and vendors to the community, signing appropriate persons in/out

  • Attempts to troubleshoot and resolve resident issues as well as possible as they arise

  • Oversees emergency systems and responds accordingly, activating emergency protocol when appropriate

  • Signs in/out keys for staff, vendors, etc. as needed

  • Assists in maintaining Fair Housing compliance as well as other guidelines that apply to the senior living program

  • Prepares and updates all reports and logs as needed

  • Inputs apartment and property work orders into the property management system as directed

  • Performs light maintenance functions as directed

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years’ customer service experience

  • 2-4 years’ Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous experience working as a front desk agent or in a similar role

  • Knowledge of Yardi or Jonas software is a plus

Physical Demands

Work required is general office work in nature. Sitting, standing, walking, and stooping are routinely required. Occasional pushing, pulling and lifting objects of up to 25 lbs. is required. Work level is medium.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position can be both part-time and full-time, but is a permanent position. A Resident Services Representative is always on property, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. As such, the work schedule is 12 hours per shift, and 7 shifts per 14 day pay period.
